Pain changes people, like rivers slowly shaping stone …
Gentle edges toughen, and hearts bear the weight …
Yet within the fractures, somewhat strength emerges
Becoming a self the world may never see …
Ode to Pain

So very true. Pain changes us, but not always in the way we think it does.
It’s like breaking a bone. Once the break heals, that fracture line becomes much stronger and is less likely to break again.
With emotional pain, our hearts eventually heal and we become more resilient. Not that our hearts can’t be broken again (and again and again), but we learn how to manage that pain and become stronger. And perhaps wiser.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, my friend. Spend some time outdoors in nature and run your fingers through the grass and leaves. 🙂

You captured the essence of my words so beautifully. I truly loved that. Yes, pain reshapes us in unexpected ways. It makes us stronger in places we once thought were fragile. It teaches us resilience and how to face future challenges with more understanding
Though heartbreak may come, we learn to heal, grow, and carry the wisdom it leaves behind
Thank you, Richard. I definitely spend time outside and soak in nature’s peace. It’s my favourite thing in a day. Here I’m loving going to the parks, Hyde park, Kensington Gardens, and exploring the Epping forests and Hainault forests …
The idea is great to ‘run your fingers through the grass and leaves’. Ahh! That’s what I’m and I do that often
I enjoyed my weekend exploring the museums here and the gardens. It was amazing!
Hope you had a great weekend too!

Yes! As Oscar Wilde said, ‘Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.’
Whatever it is!
Thanks dear! Take care …
