What Do You Reach for Then

Umbrella for the rain,
A shield against what falls
Sunglasses for the trend,
A gesture of fitting in

But when the storm is within,
What do you reach for then?

Someone once called me a poet, and I loved that. Being a poet feels like holding up a mirror to my thoughts, as if no other umbrella could shield me. I know I might bore others with this at times, but what can I do? I am who I am. If you love me, you must love my poetic voice, or not love me at all. If that sounds dramatic, so be it

For me, the act of creating is what truly matters. It’s the deepest part of who I am

The picture was taken in front of South Kensington Station, London on 22nd September. It was kind of a solo-explorer day. I went to visit Natural History Museum and the Kensington Gardens.

  4. I love your poems, your art, and the photos you share. I appreciate creativity in all its forms. Creativity is about self-expression, and self-expression should never be stifled (even if some people may not like it).

    Kensington Gardens is wonderful, but I never got the chance to visit the museum. Hope you had a fantastic time. 🙂

      I completely agree. Creativity is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and it’s amazing how art can resonate in different ways for everyone

      Yes, Kensington Gardens is beautiful. I think I could roam around only part of it. It’s a huge garden. Loved the swans and the round pond. The palace is also great. You’ll have to visit the museum next time. It’s definitely worth it! I had a great time, really!
