An Invisible Ache

Life’s a symphony
With colors that dance and winds that hum
And you, a note that never fades ….

Forgetting you
Is like trying to recall the shape of wind
An invisible ache that lingers –
What part of me will you leave behind?

Sometimes it happens in life that despite the effort to forget someone, their impact has left a lasting imprint on our mind and certain relationships or memories change us, leaving behind a part of the person in our thoughts, emotions, or identity, even after they’re gone

What do you think?

  1. life is a symphony that should be danced to. I agree and I love your poetry. — ppl can’t be forgotten because once they’ve stepped into our hearts, their imprint stays forever. I dont mnd — IF they stepped inside my heart with sweet intent and left a part of their sweet soul behind.

    1. Thank you Stefie, my dear friend!

It means a lot to me, your time and words here – for my verses as ‘An Invisible Ache’ …

I completely agree, once someone steps into our heart, they leave a part of themselves behind, like the gentle ripples in a still pond after a falling cherry blossom

There’s a Japanese wisdom. They say, ‘Mono no aware’ – there is beauty in the fleeting moments, in the sweet souls who leave their imprint, even if only for a while …

I hope I don’t mind too if they depart! I’ll carry their sweet memories!

I’m wishing you happy joyful healthy days ♥️

      1. I think i’d want more ripples if i were a pond. Otherwise I’d feel a sense of stagnation. 🙂 — It’s natural to want to grasp more beauty and we cant help being human. We just have to remember that sometimes we mustnt get too clingy.

Creativity flows where there is passion and joy. It’s inspiring to embrace the energy that surrounds me and create from a place of authenticity – I know you know this feeling!

Wishing you happy days always ♥️

  2. I think that everyone we meet in our lives, for good or bad, leave an impression on us. The memories of some linger, others fade, but they all leave behind a trace. I also think that the harder we try to forget, the harder it becomes to do so.

That’s a lovely place to sit, be inspired, and paint. I hope you had a wonderful time there. 🙂

    1. Richard, my friend, I just love the words that you shared here. Thank you so much for your time, presence and wisdom!

You’re absolutely right. Every person we meet shapes us in some way, leaving behind memories or lessons that stay with us. As they say, “We are not the same person we were yesterday, nor will we be tomorrow.” Even those we try hardest to forget often leave the deepest marks on our journey

And yes, that place was truly inspiring, the golden leaves gently falling around me, the soft rustle of the trees in the breeze, and the calm reflection of the sky on the lake made it a perfect spot to sit, reflect, and create. I really had a wonderful time there

Wishing you always have bright days in life ☀️
