Jian Bird Creates – Mindful Drawing Moments

Creating ‘Mindful Moments’ may seem easy, but no, my dear, it’s not. The human heart is intricate and complex. You cannot just dive into someone’s heart and make it open to you effortlessly.

However, at Jian Bird Creates – ‘Mindful Drawing Moments’ program, it’s a completely different experience. Every session becomes a deeply enriching and humbling journey for me. I see light reflected in every participant’s journey. They share stories from their lives, sometimes sensitive and difficult, yet they find the courage to open up and unwind in a safe, supportive space. This vulnerability not only deepens the connection between us but also creates an environment of mutual healing and growth.

I’m profoundly grateful to my participants for giving me these beautiful moments to cherish for a long time.

Theme of the Day for the program:
Small Habits/Steps at a Time

Theme of the session was ‘Small Habits/Steps at a Time,’ which beautifully aligns with patterned artwork. Just as habits are formed by repeating small actions, participants created mesmerizing artworks by repeating simple patterns like dots and circles, infusing their unique touch. The results were truly stunning.

The underlying inspiration of this journey was Kaizen, the Japanese concept of continuous improvement. It emphasizes making small, consistent changes to bring about meaningful progress in life.

Reflections and Realizations:

Our participants shared their proudest achievements, goals, and heartfelt inspirations. They opened up about their aspirations for life, such as, self-love, better sleep, improving health, striving for balance, and living a non-judgemental and more disciplined life. Listening to their reflections reminded me of the beauty and power of setting intentional goals.

We realized that no matter how much we achieve, it’s all in vain without inner peace. Here, we focus on fully enjoying the process of taking every small step toward our goals. With a grateful and satisfied mind, it becomes easier to embrace the essence of life and simply “Just be, just be!”

Closing Thoughts

Be mindful of the small things in life, appreciate them, and take small steps. Each small action brings us closer to our true selves, fostering growth and gratitude within

With warmth and gratitude,
Roksana Amelia

  1. oh to be an artist and find a group with whom I could create beauty and be inspired by other beautiful souls. I am so happy for you that you have found this group to share your special creative and social time. Artists have a sensitive sphere that allows them to see past the superficial and material surroundings and escape into their own mental forests of beauty. — NOT ME; i am too focused on the here and now and the madness of the world as it burns down around me. There is no inner peace if one is watching the bleak hills iin the distance and that only cause me anxiety because i’m afraid of what will come over them and i may not be prepared for that devastation it will bring. It is a wretched time for me. I am not a happy soul and without that comfortable area to hide in, i am not able to do much but think of the bare landscape being created as my country burns.
