Hold On

God is there for you to hold on.
Hold on to what is good, even if it’s a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe, even if it’s a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do, even if it’s a long way from here.
Hold on to your faith, even if it’s easier to let go.
Hold on to God’s hand””~.

Dear, Rest at Ease

Restless dragonfly, resting at ease. I found this beauty while travelling to an unknown place. It was afternoon, quite quiet time around, and I was walking beside an old wall. Suddenly I saw this one hanging on a branch of a creeper . I went closer to it. It didn’t move a bit.

Dear dragonfly, rest at ease and show me your beauty ....

Dear dragonfly, life is made perfect in you lovely….

Dear dragonfly, a beauty

Friendship Is The Best – inspiring

Friendship is the Best !

Monks, a friend endowed with seven qualities is worth associating with. Which seven?

1- He who gives what is hard to give.

2- He who does what is hard to do.

3- He who endures what is hard to endure.

4- He who reveals his secrets to you.

5- He who keeps your secrets.

6- When misfortunes strike, he doesn’t abandon you.

7- When you’re down and out, he doesn’t look down on you.

Surrender – a quote

The boat I travel in is called Surrender.
My two oars are instant forgiveness and gratitude
complete gratitude for the gift of life.
I am thankful for the experience of this life,
for the opportunity to dance.
I get angry, I get mad,
but as soon as I remind myself
to put my oars in the water,
I forgive.

I serve.
I do the dance I must.
I plant trees,
but I am not the doer of this work.
I am the facilitator, the instrument.
I am one part of the symphony.
I know there is an overall scheme to this symphony
that I cannot understand.
In some way, we are each playing our own part.
It is not for me to judge or criticize the life or work of another.
All I know is that this is my dance.
I would plant trees today
even if I knew for a certainty that the world
would end tomorrow.

A Reflection of You

is nothing but a reflection of me ….

A reflection of you-
A love that spans the miles.

A reflection of you-
The steady noonday sunbeams.

A reflection of you-
The unfolding of words.

A reflection of you-
A plain-spoken philosophy.

A reflection of you-
An ambient naturalism.

A reflection of you-
A friend, most protective.

A reflection of you-
A promise of a lifetime happiness.

A reflection of you-
A flash of lightening in darkness.

A reflection of you-
The soft caress closeness.

A reflection of you-
Too tempting and warm.

A reflection of you-
Something nice about something wrong.

A reflection of you-
A seamless flowing movement.

A reflection of you-
The beating to joyful rhythms.

A reflection of you-
An endless age, inside and out.

A reflection of you-
Thus the windows to my heart.

A reflection of you-
A pleasing proportionality.

A reflection of you-
The threads of my antic tapestry.

A reflection of you-
The reflective silence.

A reflection of you-
Is the mirror of a beautiful reflection?

A reflection of you-
Is nothing but a reflection of me.

Black n White

Sometimes we’re just too black and white in our thinking instead of acknowledging all the other colors of life. The world can’t always be neatly parceled up in the way that some of our questions about life might imply. That’s why, instead of asking for ‘answers’ of an question, we should just ask for’ impressions’~

Sometimes, the shades of gray is so much WoW♥

If I could talk to my younger self, I would just say that the path to great things is filled with a lot of stumbles, suffering, and challenges along the way. But if you have the right attitude and know that hard times will pass – and you get up each time – you will reach your destination.

Travelling Alone is Therapy

Let nothing and no one stop me…..

All on my own, I made my way;

Through the dark of night and bright of day,

Dreams are there for me in that shining evening ray.

Sometimes I feel as if I had spent my whole life dreaming…. dreaming to fall and wait for the moment when I would hit the water all alone….alone on a lonely beach.

Though, in the midst of such vastness, it wouldn’t be possible for me to view such beauty and serenity all by myself…

I’m not meant to be alone…

I don’t want to be alone….

I can’t be so self-centered….

I’m not made in this way.

But you know, sometimes though, you need to be alone, all by yourself.

When you’re by yourself, you’re forced to think.

Travelling alone, I believe, is like medication.

Because it makes u test yourself in ways you never thought possible.

Well I dream to travel alone & travelling alone is one of my precious dreams.

Dreams are there to unlock imagination.

Right?

I believe where there’s a true and honest dream, there’s always a way.

I find travelling an opportunity not to relax;

But also a means to mingle freely with co-travelers.

Besides, the feeling of freedom makes it easier for one to interact with people from all walks of life.

And I love people and places.

In the little space of my daily life, in which I make and re-make relationships with everyone that I encounter and whom I find my dearests, I love to use a little adventurous mode.

It’s in my nature: Adventurous.

But solo trip to some place had been a mere dream only.

Or it must be better to admit that I had only loved to dream about it.

Never had I made it my long-cherished dream the way I dream of it now.

Now, as the days pass, I begin to embrace uncertainty. I realize that it’s from venturing into the unknown that I learn more what it means to be human and above all, what it means to be free.

Fragility is what I think I’m…..very sensitive to life’s little things.

At times it breaks you from inside.

Travelling alone would definitely teach me to overcome many unnecessary emotions.

Travelling alone would give me the chance to do things that I never thought I could; that I could completely rely on myself for everything.

I’m a nature-lover.

I prefer wilderness. Or should I say I love Travelling for the travelling’s’ sake.

You know, life can be exciting EN ROUTE anyway you look at it.

Through travelling,

You learn that people, in general, are helpful and that come along your journey.

You meet people from all around the world, some of whom may become life-long friends.

Through travelling,

You become a better, more self-reliant person.

You impact the lives of those you encounter in your journey in a positive way.

All we have to do is to learn by being introspective, by creating and discovering new enchanted emotional space rather than physical space.

I know, as a woman travelling alone, I would face issues that a man wouldn’t. But I think I’m unafraid. Because I’m a true heart. I won’t do wrongs to anyone. I don’t want to hurt even. I know I’ve my own mountains to climb. I have to face issues that might come along my paths. But those are for me only a literal mountain. Climbing Real Mountain is yet to come in my life, and it’ll only come forward if I start travelling alone.

You know I love challenges too.

Travelling is a way of life and travelling alone needs more attitudes towards embracing the anticipation of the UNKNOWN.

So here I’m on a journey to the destination of my own dream.

Let nothing and no one stop me.

Bon Voyage!!

A Gift from My Sister

“To Ms Oshin, from Tuly & Omi.”

Few years back, Tuly & Omi brought me gifts, all Japanese type, and wrapped in with a wrapping paper, and the most beautiful thing that I liked is that they addressed me, “To Ms Oshin, from Tuly & Omi.”

Why was I happy?

‘Oshin’ was a Japanese drama I used to watch many years back, when I was a teenager, and people used to say that I looked like Oshin. I like all the traits that the character Oshin portrays in that serial.

I love Japan. I had a big dream to visit Oshin’s place in Japan that is Yamagata. “Oshin’s story taught us that no matter how difficult your life is, being brave can help us get through it,”

Oshin (おしん) is a Japanese serialized morning television drama (asadora), which originally aired on NHK from 4 April 1983 to 31 March 1984; it is the 31st asadora overall to be produced. The 297 15-minute episodes follow the life of Shin Tanokura (田倉しん, Tanokura Shin) during the Meiji period up to the early 1980s. In the work, Shin is called Oshin, an archaic Japanese cognomen.

It was one of the country’s most watched serials of all time and has aired in 68 other countries, with subtitles ranging from English to Arabic.” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshin

Thank You Tuly & Omi.

The Woman In Your Life

Please appreciate her …..

w

Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well.

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are–

Who is earning almost as much as you do.

One who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are–

One who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your sister haven’t, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements–

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won’t, simply because you won’t like it, even though you say otherwise—

One who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met—

One who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her—

One who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house – your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly – your understanding, or love, if you may call it—

But not many understand this……

Please appreciate “HER”

Does Evil exist?

393212_10150384926442251_2145106095_n

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?”

A student bravely replied, “Yes he did!”

“God created everything?” The professor asked.

“Yes sir, he certainly did,” the student replied.

The professor answered, “If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil.”

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor’s hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, “May I ask you a question, professor?”

“Of course”, replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, “Professor, does cold exist?”

“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?”

The other students snickered at the young man’s question.

The young man replied, “In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to
describe how we feel if we have no heat.”

The student continued, “Professor, does darkness exist?”

The professor responded, “Of course it does.”

The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton’s prism to break white light into man colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is nolight present.”

Finally the young man asked the professor, “Sir, does evil exist?”

Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man’s inhumanity man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

The professor sat down.

Quotes on Photography

Photography attracts me on an undefined mysterious way. I would freeze the moment and let the imagination reach to and let our heart filling with love. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. True-an image talks more than words. When we can’t say what burns inside us we let talk with our images.

Photography,
A reason to live to be,
Warm like morning rays,
Bright like noontime sun,
Shining like evening stars;
I ll be able to see me,
Definitely.

There are so many photographs around the world, and its incredibly awesome to look into those photographs. Famous photographers have their acute view on photography and their insights do inspire us a lot. Here are some of my favorite quotes on photography for photography-lovers.

  • “Photography is the story I fail to put into words.”— Destin Sparks
  • “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”— Ansel Adams
  • “In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”— Alfred Stieglitz
  • “There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”
    Robert Frank

  • “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”— Aaron Siskind
  • I’ve always believed that photography is a way to shape human perception.__James Balog
  • “We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.”— Ralph Hattersley
  • “A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”— Annie Leibovitz
  • “You don’t take a photograph. You ask quietly to borrow it.”— Unknown
  • “Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
    Don McCullin
  • “I like to photograph anyone before they know what their best angles are.”__ Ellen Von Unwerth
  • “Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times…I just shoot at what interests me at that moment.” __Elliott Erwitt
  • “You’ve got to push yourself harder. You’ve got to start looking for pictures nobody else could take. You’ve got to take the tools you have and probe deeper.”__William Albert Allard
  • “If I saw something in my viewfinder that looked familiar to me, I would do something to shake it up.” __Garry Winogrand
  • “You may not be the perfect photographer for everyone. But for someone you are the perfect photographer.” __Unknown
  • “When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.” – Ansel Adams
  • “When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. When you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their soul!” – Ted Grant
  • “When I have a camera in my hand, I know no fear.” – Alfred Eisenstaedt

The Simple Life

Business-and-Fish

There was once a businessman who was sitting by the beach in a small village.

As he sat, he saw a fisherman rowing a small boat towards the shore having caught quite few big fish.

The businessman was impressed and asked the fisherman, “How long does it take you to catch so many fish?”

The fisherman replied, “Oh, just a short while.”

“Then why don’t you stay longer at sea and catch even more?” The businessman was astonished.

“This is enough to feed my whole family,” the fisherman said.

The businessman then asked, “So, what do you do for the rest of the day?”

The fisherman replied, “Well, I usually wake up early in the morning, go out to sea and catch a few fish, then go back and play with my kids. In the afternoon, I take a nap with my wife, and evening comes, I join my buddies in the village for a drink — we play guitar, sing and dance throughout the night.”

The businessman offered a suggestion to the fisherman.

“I am a PhD in business management. I could help you to become a more successful person. From now on, you should spend more time at sea and try to catch as many fish as possible. When you have saved enough money, you could buy a bigger boat and catch even more fish. Soon you will be able to afford to buy more boats, set up your own company, your own production plant for canned food and distribution network. By then, you will have moved out of this village and to Sao Paulo, where you can set up HQ to manage your other branches.”

The fisherman continued, “And after that?”

The businessman laughed heartily, “After that, you can live like a king in your own house, and when the time is right, you can go public and float your shares in the Stock Exchange, and you will be rich.”

The fisherman asked, “And after that?”

The businessman said, “After that, you can finally retire, you can move to a house by the fishing village, wake up early in the morning, catch a few fish, then return home to play with kids, have a nice afternoon nap with your wife, and when evening comes, you can join your buddies for a drink, play the guitar, sing and dance throughout the night!”

The fisherman was puzzled, “Isn’t that what I am doing now?”

HELP HIM CRY

image026

Author and lecturer, Leo Buscaglia, once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was:

A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor,

The little boy just said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”
