I have a draft and forgot to work further. It is on “LOVE LETTERS’. Thought to write more on personal and overall in general.
A short passage is here.
In a world before instant messages and digital expressions of affection, there existed a timeless practice of pouring one’s heart onto paper. Love letters, written with ink-stained fingers and aching hearts, carried sentiments across time and distance, creating a bridge of emotions that transcended the limitations of technology.
Forty years ago, the art of love letters thrived. Lovers separated by oceans or mere miles would patiently craft their words, carefully selecting each phrase to capture the essence of their deepest emotions. These handwritten treasures were adorned with delicate penmanship and sealed with a tender kiss, encapsulating a love that refused to be contained.
In those intimate missives, emotions flowed freely, unfiltered by the constraints of spoken words. Hearts spilled open like inkwells, painting the page with vulnerability and passion. Each sentence, meticulously constructed, held the power to ignite longing, ignite desire, or ignite the flame of undying devotion.
The scent of dried ink and worn parchment carried with it the memories of stolen glances, stolen kisses, and stolen moments of pure connection. Love letters became portals to another world, where lovers could escape the noise of reality and immerse themselves in the tender exchanges that illuminated their souls.
These letters, kept hidden in cherished boxes or tucked away in secret drawers, were treasured keepsakes, tangible reminders of a love that had stood the test of time. They captured the whispers of hearts intertwined, the promises made, and the dreams shared. Opening them now is like stepping into a time capsule, revisiting the raw emotions and unwavering devotion that once flowed effortlessly from the tips of pens.
Today, as we navigate a world driven by instant communication, the art of love letters may have evolved. But the essence remains the same — the yearning to express love in its purest form, to etch words onto a canvas that spans the ages. So let us remember those love letters of forty years ago, for they hold the power to remind us that in a world filled with fleeting messages, the timeless beauty of a handwritten declaration of love endures.
Thanks for six words, reminding old days mixed with multiple emotions: Love letters, for you. Never sent …
I know because everything happened in my life. Those seven years of letters/ no letter/ missing letters and other hardles.
I can’t forget.
I have kept most of the letters.
Thank you so much for your comments ☺️
Wow…
You’re keeping the lost art of letter writing …
I still hold this practice of writing letter. With a gift I usually send the letter instead of sending them via postal mail…
I love getting letters as well. So I love touching them… A while ago, I read letters written to me, and I remember tears were coming down my cheeks unknowingly… automatically…
There’s a power in hand-written letters….
People sit down with pen and paper and think of the things that they want to share or ask … and they go through few moments and the words are filled with those moments… So when someone gets that letter and open that envelope to read that, it feels so warm and wonderful.
Lovely!
Wonderful 😊
There are very few people who write letters now.
I will write a letter to you 😀
I am very happy to know that you love letters written in hand.
Have a blissful time ☺️🙏
